An outspoken, tireless advocate for victims’ rights and one of television's most respected legal analysts, Nancy Grace is known as the powerful force behind CNN Headline News’ (HLN) top-rated Nancy Grace. She is currently the founder and publisher of CrimeOnline.com.
A former prosecutor with an unparalleled record of success, Nancy has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The View, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Nightline, 20/20, Dr. Phil and Larry King Live, among others, dispensing her firebrand take on the modern justice system.
Grace’s first book, Objection!, became an instant New York Times bestseller and was quickly followed on the list by her two subsequent novels, The Eleventh Victim and Death on the D-List. Her latest novel is Murder in the Courthouse.
Grace’s life changed forever when her fiancé, Keith Griffin, was shot and killed. In the aftermath of that crime, she abandoned plans to become an English professor and turned her focus to criminal justice. F. LEE BAILEY
Legendary defense attorney F. Lee Bailey is one of the best-known and most controversial figures in the practice of law. He has been involved with many of the most high profile trials in America.
In 1971, when F. Lee Bailey represented Captain Ernest Medina in his court-martial for his involvement in the incident at My Lai, he was already a prominent figure in criminal defense. Bailey had achieved fame for his successful defense in the retrial of Dr. Samuel Sheppard (“The Fugitive”) and the trial of the "Boston Strangler."
After Bailey's successful defense of Captain Medina, he continued to add to his list of celebrated clients which also include SLA kidnapping victim Patty Hearst and O.J. Simpson.
L. KIRK NURMI
Kirk is most commonly known as the attorney who represented the infamous Jodi Arias, but this is not where his legal career began. Prior to the Arias trial Kirk had worked as a criminal attorney for over a decade defending the constitutional rights of those accused of major felony offenses, including capital defendants.
After saving the life of his infamous client, cancer forced him to fight to save his own. Since becoming a cancer survivor, Kirk decided that he no longer wished to practice law and considers himself a recovering attorney who is “happily disbarred.” He now puts what he learned during his legal career into his various professional endeavors, which primarily include speaking and writing. To date, Kirk has published two books on weight loss as well as Trapped with Ms. Arias, a controversial book about the case.
James Renner is the author of several true crime books, including The Serial Killer's Apprentice and the thriller, True Crime Addict, about his search for missing UMass student, Maura Murray. He has also written two novels: The Man from Primrose Lane and The Great Forgetting.
Robert Kolker is the New York Times bestselling author of "Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery," the acclaimed narrative-nonfiction chronicle of the Long Island serial-killer case and the age of Internet prostitution that was named one of the New York Times’ 100 Notable Books and one of Publisher's Weekly’s Top Ten Books of the year. An award-winning investigative journalist, he currently is a Projects & Investigations reporter for Bloomberg News.

EAST AREA RAPIST/GOLDEN STATE KILLER (EAR/GSK): SURVIVORS & FAMILY MEMBERS

Josh Mankiewicz is a Dateline NBC correspondent based in Los Angeles. He began reporting for Dateline in February 1995, and since then, he has contributed a mix of breaking news stories, news analysis, investigative reports and clever features to the broadcast.
Over the last year, Mankiewicz has reported on a variety of stories for the newsmagazine, including updates on both the O.J. Simpson case and Jon Benet Ramsey investigation. Mankiewicz has covered a wide range of stories including Hurricane Katrina, the 1996 and 2000 presidential campaigns, the terrorist takeover of Japan’s embassy in Lima, Peru, the mysterious mental disorder known as Munchausen’s Syndrome by Proxy, the story of John Walker Lindh, the American who joined the Taliban, and numerous aspects of airline and airport safety and security.
After attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, Carl Marino served 17 years on the police force as a Deputy Sheriff in New York. He “fell” into the acting world after later moving to California, making his television debut on the NBC primetime show Trauma.
In 2010, Carl was cast for the lead/title character in the Investigation Discovery show Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda. Carl portrays Lt. Joe Kenda in all episodes. Homicide Hunter is currently filming it's sixth season and is the highest rated show on Investigation Discovery.
Carl is also an avid runner and raises money for charities by running marathons all over the world. In the past three years, he and his wife have run 60 half and full marathons, including the last three Boston Marathons, raising over $100,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and Massachusetts General Hospital. Carl currently resides in San Francisco.

DR. LAURA PETTLER
Forensic Criminologist and author Dr. Laura Pettler is one of the world's foremost experts in crime scene staging and intimate partner homicide. Host of new WebTV Series Notorious: True Crime Stories with Laura Pettler, she is also Vice President of the American Investigative Society of Cold Cases. Laura invented the world-renowned Kaleidoscope Crime Scene Reconstruction System that is carried by 11 distinguished forensic product distributors and sold in more than 30 countries worldwide.
In 1999 Bobby Chacon, an FBI Agent in New York City, was tasked by the FBI Laboratory in Quantico to establish the FBI’s Underwater Search and Evidence Response Team (USERT) Program. Bobby was already the first full time FBI diver in the Bureau’s history, but he then spent several years setting up four regional FBI underwater forensic teams. Along with forensic experts at the FBI Lab, Bobby set up the Programs' protocols and Standard Operating Procedures. He then hand-selected every member of each of the four teams and remained the Senior Team Leader of the FBI’s New York City USERT. He later became the Senior Team Leader for the FBI’s Los Angeles USERT.
Until his retirement in 2014, Bobby Chacon had trained every single forensic diver in the FBI and even trained members of the US Navy in underwater evidence collection, as well as police departments around the world.
THOMAS J. FASSBENDER
Special Agent (Ret.) Tom Fassbender is a 30 year veteran of law enforcement in Wisconsin, 25 of which he spent as a Special Agent with the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI). Tom was assigned to the Special Assignments Bureau about a decade ago and was primarily responsible for death investigations. Tom worked as co-lead investigator on several high profile homicide investigations, to include the Teresa Halbach homicide (Avery) and the Crandon shootings perpetrated by police officer Tyler Peterson.
After his retirement, Tom has worked in the private investigation field and is currently a senior investigator in Appleton. Tom also worked as an investigator for one year at a Las Vegas strip resort/casino, where he had an occasion to work on a death investigation with the Henderson Police.
ALICE de STURLER
Alice is a Dutch non-practicing lawyer/human rights defender who works on unsolved homicides and wrongful convictions. Her professional blog, Defrosting Cold Cases, won in the American Bar Association’s Top 100 “Blawgs” in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Bethany has produced hours of true crime TV for networks like Oxygen, A&E, LMN, CNN and Discovery. She has interviewed leading government officials, federal agents, US Attorneys and law enforcement officers across the country, and has established relationships with the Department of Homeland Security, ICE, FBI, as well as local, state and international law enforcement. She was selected by the FBI director in Los Angeles to be one of the few to take part in the FBI Citizens Academy.
Aphrodite Jones is a national television host and bestselling true crime author whose expertise in the courtroom, as a public speaker, and in the media, is world-renowned.
Jones has hosted and produced shows for Investigation Discovery (True Crime with Aphrodite Jones) and USA (The Justice Hunters) and was a crime reporter for FOX News, covering the trials of Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson, and Dennis Rader (aka the “BTK Killer”) for The O'Reilly Factor and Geraldo At Large.
Jones has written eight bestselling true crime books (including The FBI Killer, which was made into a movie, as well as All She Wanted, which was later transformed into the Oscar-winning film Boys Don’t Cry, starring Hilary Swank). She has appeared as a crime expert on The Today Show, NBC Dateline, CBS Early Morning, Dr. Oz, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, The O'Reilly Factor, Geraldo at Large, The FOX Report, Nancy Grace, The Forensic Files, E! and more.
Jim Clemente is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent/Profiler and former New York City Prosecutor. During his 22-year career with the FBI, he has investigated cases from Bank Robberies to Serial Killers. He is now a Writer/Co-Producer for Criminal Minds, as well as a Technical Advisor on Quantico, Blind Spot, Secrets & Lies, and Sleepy Hollow. He Exec. Produces and is On-Air Talent for several Documentary Television Series productions including: The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey on CBS, Killer Profile on LMN, Missing Dial, on NatGeo, and Finding Benjamin. Clemente authored his first novel, WITHOUT CONSENT based on his true story about tracking down and locking up the Coach/Camp Director who victimized him as a teen. Jim is also the host of the successful podcast: Real Crime Profile as well as the new podcasts: Locked Up Abroad and Best Case/Worst Case.
In his 25-year prosecution career, Attorney Ken Kratz handled many complex and high-profile cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, child abuse, and property crimes. Widely considered one of the state of Wisconsin’s best criminal trial attorneys, Kratz dedicated his career to advancing the rights of crime victims, serving as Chairman of Wisconsin’s Crime Victims’ Rights Board from its creation in 1997 until 2009.
For his work on the Teresa Halbach homicide case, Kratz has been asked to lecture throughout the country, and was named “Prosecutor of the Year” by the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators in 2008. Leaving the area of criminal litigation at the end of 2016, Kratz now enjoys his new career as true crime author, consultant, and speaker.
Harold Schechter is a professor of American literature and culture. Renowned for his true-crime writing, he is the author of the nonfiction books The Mad Sculptor, Man-Eater as well as Fatal, Fiend, Bestial, Deviant, Deranged, Depraved, and The Serial Killer Files. He lives in New York State.
Sheryl McCollum is a CSI for a metro Atlanta Police Department as well as the Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, a collaboration between universities and colleges that brings researchers, practitioners, students and the criminal justice community together to advance techniques in solving cold cases. Some of the high-profile crimes Sheryl and her students have worked on include: Tu Pac Shakur, Chandra Levy, Natalee Holloway and The Boston Strangler.

DR. JULIE ARMSTRONG
Dr. Armstrong is a civil forensic psychologist who has appeared in many true crime shows, including Investigation Discovery’s Wicked Attraction and Lifetime's Kids Who Kill. She is a Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Nurse Specialist who has studied the deep unconscious and applies her unique knowledge to understanding some of humanity’s more gruesome behavior.
Sergeant (Ret.) Michael W. Streed is an internationally-recognized police sketch artist based in Southern California. He is the author of SketchCop: Drawing A Line Against Crime and Creating Digital Faces for Law Enforcement. During his career, he has successfully developed police sketches for many high-profile cases such as: the Samantha Runnion murder, the Anthony Martinez murder, the Baton Rouge serial killer, and Orange County’s Fortune Teller murder. He created SketchCop FACETTE Face Design System and Frontalis Facial Composite System, innovative software programs that helps law enforcement create high-quality digital composite images.
