CrimeCon, producer of the world’s leading series of true crime events, is launching an innovative new event focused on the intersection of science, technology, and criminal investigations. Our mission is to engage, enlighten, and educate professionals and prosumers in the latest advanced tools and techniques related to law enforcement.

 

Job Overview

As the Senior Event Producer, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our new B2B event. This role demands a seasoned producer with a deep understanding of event production as well as specific demands of B2B events and expos. This producer will have primary responsibility to oversee the event from conception to execution, ensuring a seamless, impactful, and engaging experience for attendees, sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors.

 

Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the event series—coordinating with CrimeCon—while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.

- Programming direction will come from CrimeCon and its partners, but the producer will work with all talent and will ideate on sessions, experiences, and other ways to elevate the experience.

- Manage budgets, schedules, and all logistical aspects of event production, coordinating with CrimeCon’s main outside production company.

- Foster quality relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and partners.

- Utilize market research to understand the needs and interests of the professional and prosumer audience in this space.

- Hire and manage a team of freelance help, providing direction and support to ensure successful event outcomes.

- Evaluate event success and provide detailed reports with insights and recommendations for future improvements.

 

Qualifications

- Proven experience as an event producer or similar role, specifically in the B2B space.

- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

- Independent self-starter mindset—the position requires someone who can work effectively without daily oversight.

- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.

- Experience in budget management and negotiation.

- Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
