After attending the United States Military Academy at West Point for 2 years, Carl Marino served 17 years on the force as a Deputy Sheriff in New York. Carl “fell” into the acting world after later moving to California, making his television debut on the NBC primetime show “Trauma”. In 2010, he was cast for the lead/title character in the Investigation Discovery show "Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda". Carl portrays Lt. Joe Kenda in all episodes. Homicide Hunter is currently filming it's sixth season and is the highest rated show on Investigation Discovery. 

Carl is also an avid runner and raises money for charities by running marathons all over the world. In the past three years, he and his wife have run 60 half and full marathons, including the last 3 Boston Marathons, raising over $100,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and Massachusetts General Hospital. Carl currently lives in San Francisco.
