David Fugitt is a seasoned Homicide Detective at the Austin Police Department, where he has partnered in the investigation of over 600 murders. Preceding his tenure of 18-years in homicide, were assignments in the Missing Persons and Family Violence Units. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2003. Fugitt was the recipient of the Rotary Club of Austin’s Detective of the Year and National Crime Victims Heroes awards in 2019. He has appeared on the nationally acclaimed Orange Tree podcast and several True Crime television series to include Oxygen’s Snapped: Killer Couples.
