Steven David Lampley

Steven David Lampley spent twenty-one years as a police officer and undercover sex crimes SVU detective. He was the arresting officer of The Clairemont Killer (Cleophus Prince Jr.), a case featured on America's Most Wanted. Prior to Steven's career as a police officer, he was friends with Jeffrey Dahmer just as Dahmer was beginning his murderous and cannibalistic lifestyle. Steven has written several books, including How to Catch a Liar and Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer. He has received multiple awards for Police Officer of the Year, as well as numerous departmental and civilian commendations. He now spends his time writing, acting, and speaking to schools, police academies, and others on topics ranging from forensics to deception to serial killers.
