Join the famed former prosecutors as they take you on a career and emotional journey from the District Attorney’s Office to the Defense’s table and how making the decision to ‘swap sides’ was a difficult, yet no-brainer, move.

Both have tried and won some of California and the country’s most notable and headline grabbing cases, but now both have turned to defending those in need of counsel, are wrongly accused, or are up against the fight of their life. Hear from both on why they made the decision to leave prosecution and turn to defense, a change that has proven both challenging as their tactics of practicing law has done a 180. Hear what it’s like to go up against former colleagues, what tips and tricks they brought over with them, and what happens when they are faced with the possibility of defending someone that might very well may be guilty, but still has the right to counsel.

Welcome to the fourth annual CrimeCon CLUE Awards banquet, the marquee evening event of CrimeCon weekend. Hosted by Ice-T, join us (and some of your favorite speakers and creators!) as we recognize outstanding projects across television, documentaries, podcasts, books, and more. A three-course dinner will be served before the show.

Please Note: If you registered for the CLUE Awards banquet, during registration you will get a sticker corresponding with the entree selection you previously chose. That sticker must be adhered to your CrimeCon badge and is required for all CLUE attendees at the door. If you do not receive your entree sticker at registration, please visit the Help Desk before the banquet.

You’ve just been called to the scene of a possible homicide, and it’s up to you and your team to identify potential evidence, lift usable fingerprints, and match them to a suspect. Led by seasoned Crime Scene Investigator Dr. Sharon Plotkin and her team, this 45-minute immersive session will teach you real-world fingerprinting techniques and put your investigative skills to the test. Only Diamonds & Platinums have Meet & Greet Fast Track access. This means you can skip to the front of the queue and get back to programming as quickly as possible. To use this lane, you must be wearing your Fast Pass wristband, which can be picked up at registration or in the Diamond/Platinum Lounge. No exceptions can be made without the wristband visibly on your wrist. Please be sure to follow the signage for this exclusive Fast Track lane.
