JESSICA MERKOSKY

Jessica was originally going to school to become a nurse, but couldn’t really handle all of the blood and gore. A family friend who is a dispatcher, felt Jessica had what it takes to be a dispatcher.

Jessica has been a dispatcher at the CVD for two years and now believes dispatching is her calling. Jessica was a cheerleader in H.S., and has taken that spirit and put it into the job. She is known to do cheers on her shift to brighten the team‘s moods after tough calls.

Jessica just took the course to become a Training Officer, and has already stared training potential dispatchers at the CVD. She was awarded her first Chagrin Valley Dispatch Lifesaver Pin for her performance on a Widow Maker call. This pin is specifically reserved for dispatchers that demonstrate exemplary service that aids or assists in the successful revival of a patient.
